2025 Institute for Health Transformation impact grants awarded

The Institute’s Impact Pillar team are pleased to announce two recipients of the 2025 Impact Grants. Each applicant will receive up to $10,000 for their project. We wish to thank everyone who applied and commend them on the high calibre of the applications. The successful awardees are:

Linda Sweet, Vidanka Vasilevski, Amanda Henderson, Deborah Fox
Project Title: Impact of adopting the Australian Midwifery Standards Assessment Tool (AMSAT)

This evaluation aims to examine the scope of AMSAT use locally and internationally from the perspectives of assessors and assessees in university and clinical settings, and citations and downloads. Through this process, we will determine and ascertain the specific value of the AMSAT and identify further opportunities to extend and tailor this work for increased utility. The collaborative project team includes members from the original AMSAT development team, Prof Linda Sweet, Prof Amanda Henderson, University of Queensland, and A/Prof Deb Fox, University of Technology Sydney.

Tony LaMontagne
Project Title: The Integrated Approach to Workplace Mental Health: An Assessment of policy and practice impacts

This project aims to answer two research questions:

  • How has the ‘integrated approach’ influenced and been adapted in workplace mental health policy?
  • How has the ‘integrated approach’ influenced workplace mental health-relevant practice?

Created in collaboration with a group of applied researchers and myself, the ‘integrated approach’ to workplace mental health combines three disciplinary threads into a comprehensive framework with complementary action areas.
