The Institute of Health Transformation (IHT) at Deakin University is proud to congratulate Alfred Deakin Professor Anna Peeters, Professor Julie Considine, and IHT Advisory Board member Robyn Batten on their recognition in the Kings’ Birthday honours.

Director of IHT Professor Anna Peeters has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her significant service to community health, particularly obesity research.

Professor Peeters is Lead Investigator for the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in food retail environments (RE-FRESH) and DELIVER, a $9 million research project funded through the Australian Commonwealth Government Medical Research Future Fund, led by IHT and the Western Alliance Academic Health Science Centre.

DELIVER brings together, for the first time, healthcare consumers, regional and rural health services, peak bodies, universities and primary healthcare providers across western Victoria to achieve better healthcare closer to home.
