New nomination/NIOS process for NHMRC Investigator Grant, and ARC DECRA and Future Fellowship applications
The Institute is introducing a new process for those intending to nominate for Investigator, Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) and Future Fellowships. To better support our researchers and boost their competitiveness, applicants will be required to undertake research metric benchmarking as part of the nomination/NOIS process and to discuss the results of their benchmarking with their supervisor/manager (and mentor for DECRA applicants) to determine their competitiveness for the scheme they are applying to.
If you are intending to apply, please make sure you read through the information provided in recent email correspondence and take note of mandatory timelines and processes. This information is also provided on our Members’ Portal. If you have any questions, please contact Merran Stewart.
Need a photo for something?
Work is underway to develop an image bank for the IHT Members’ Portal that is diverse, inclusive and reflective of our work and values. While this work is being progressed, members can access Deakin’s Asset Bank for high-quality images. Log in using your Deakin IT credentials.
For assistance sourcing appropriate imagery for your work, please contact the communications staff member in your domain or Brydie Nielson (b.nielson@deakin.edu.au).
Updates to DHE and GLOBE logos
We’re pleased to launch updated DHE and GLOBE logos, in addition to a new name and website content for GLOBE.
Why?
The logos have been updated to bring the DHE and GLOBE logos into line with the IHT brand, and to better demonstrate the connection between each domain and IHT.
How?
Several logo options were created by the Deakin Research design team and presented to each domain’s leadership teams. The leadership teams then presented the new logo options to the domain members. Domain members voted on their preferred options.
When?
The updated logos, GLOBE name and GLOBE website content can be used from today.
Out with the old
In with the new
But wait, there’s more
- GLOBE is still GLOBE, but with a twist. GLOBE is now the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition. This change was made by the GLOBE leadership in consultation with GLOBE members.
- The globalobesity.org.au website will be decommissioned in the coming weeks
- The GLOBE Twitter handle has been updated to @GLOBE_Deakin
- GLOBE web content will now live on the IHT website: iht.deakin.edu.au
- Please check the Members’ Portal for new brand templates, including guides on how to use the brand and logos, PowerPoint and Word templates, and logo files.
Thanks to the DHE and GLOBE leadership teams, Jaithri Ananthapavan (DHE), Trudy Campbell (GLOBE) and Simeon Walker (Deakin Research) for their assistance throughout this process, and to the DHE and GLOBE members for their participation in choosing their updated logos.
