The University currently offers Research Development ASP. This program allows eligible academic staff a period of 1-6 months to work with local and internationally renowned academics, professionals and industry leaders from other institutions, and provides the opportunity for uninterrupted research activities. The Faculty of Health encourages applicants to consider proposal to collaborate with our national and international strategic partnerships.
Please note you must discuss your application with your HOS prior to applying.

- Log in to Elements
- Select publications, on the bottom left-hand side of your screen
- Click Export
- Locate the .bib file in your downloads folder
- Send the file to nielson@deakin.edu.au
Once received, Brydie will use this file to add your publications to the IHT website.

Open Access publishing
As a member of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL) Member Institutions, authors with Deakin affiliations may publish in Wiley’s subscription journals that offer open access, with no transactional Article Publication Charges (APC). To qualify, articles must be published open access in a hybrid journal and must have been accepted on or after 1 January 2022. Find out more on the Wiley website.
MACH EMCR Research Design Webinar Series
The Melbourne Academic Centre for Health (MACH) are pleased to present a four-part webinar series exploring research design tailored specifically for early and mid-career researchers. This series is conducted by experts from the University of Melbourne’s Methods and Implementation Support for Clinical and Health research Hub (MISCH) team from February-June 2022 and is free to access for employees of Western Alliance member organisations. The first webinar, Kicking off your research: how to craft a well-defined research question by Dr Karen Lamb, was held in February 2022. View the recording and slides on the MACH website.
HCF Research Foundation Peer Review
The HCF Research Foundation is currently recruiting additional researchers interested in joining their panel of reviewers for their 2022 Health Services Research Grants scheme. Reviewers will be expected to review a small subset of applications matched to your area(s) of expertise. The review will involve providing scores according to their assessment criteria, and some written comments.
This is a good opportunity for ECRs to add to their track record and provide experience for future involvement in NHMRC/MRFF panels. If you are interested in joining their peer review panel, please email hcffoundation@hcf.com.au and include 3-5 keywords that illustrate your areas of expertise
