Today is World Health Day, with the theme of ‘our planet, our health’. I wish you all a Happy World Health Day and am pleased to share a showcase of our developing work with Deakin and Barwon Health partners to reduce the impact of the health sector on the environment.

It has been a great pleasure to launch our new IHT hub at Burwood. Thanks to all of you who have attended, it has given me a great sense of how valuable the space will be to our collaborative ventures. Thanks to Diane, Brydie and Kate for your great organisation and to Trish and Jenny for saying a few words on behalf of the University, Faculty and the Schools of Nursing and Midwifery and Health and Social Development. An additional thank you to the Victorian Government for co-contributing funds with Deakin towards the hub.

Congratulations to all of you for new funding and excellent publications. A special mention to our EMCRs Anna Ugalde, Christina Zorbas and Floor Martino, who you will see have been successful with new funding and awards.

A reminder that we have a number of research support packages available – for further information you can contact Merran or look at our Member’s Portal. There is funding support for developing your partnerships, and for developing large funding bids. There is also a lot of information on how to develop your impact stories, which is being supported by a number of capacity building events this year.

Wishing you all a relaxing Easter break.
