Happy Halloween winners
Thanks to all those who took the time to dress up and join us for our online Halloween Party, particularly Andrew Brown whose enthusiasm for Halloween rubbed off on all of us. Congratulations to the winners of the pumpkin carving competition (pictured) – Oliver, Vidanka and Kate – and the other winners on the day: Jasmin Schipp, Andrew Brown and Penny Fraser.

New support for big bids
We’re pleased to announce new support for our members in expanding their current research projects into programs of research that will enable substantial and sustained impact on health and wellbeing.

The first component of the support package is funding for a casual staff member (Support Officer) to provide administration support to the lead Chief Investigator and research team submitting applications to fund large programs of work (big bids). Examples of big bids include NHMRC Centres of Research Excellence or Synergy Grants schemes, ARC Centres of Excellence, Industrial Transformation Research Hubs or Training Centres. Submissions to the MRFF, NHMRC Partnership Grants or other competitive grants may be considered big bids; please see Eligibility section of Guidelines to Access Administration Support for requirements and further details. Please contact Merran Stewart if you have any questions.

Cat 1 Seed Funding 2022
Our Cat 1 Seed Funding Program is now open. Researchers across IHT, HSD and SoNM are invited to submit applications for funding parcels between $5,000 to $20,000. The scheme aims to provide funding support for high-quality pipeline projects for future Cat 1 submissions. The application form and guidelines are available on the Members’ Portal. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday 19 November 2021. Outcomes will be announced in December 2021, with grants to run over the 2022 calendar year (no extensions or carry overs of funding into 2023).

Research Performance Data Dashboard
